When Ben Yeung and I first met, he looked urbane and polished in a leisure suit, accessorizing with a gray scarf. I could tell that he is a detail-orient man who appreciates the beauty of life. When this goal-oriented designer encountered the target-orient developer of the Spring Legend (short for TSL), sparks burst. Talking of TSL, Ben mentions when he and Mr. Guangping, An - the managing director of Guangzhou Pulian Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. first inspected on the undeveloped mountain. They reached an agreement that the view of Conghua Hot Spring Town would be the selling point of the project, due to its incomparable scenery. Rivers sloshed around the foot of undulating mountains. Such a wonderful view was rare in Guangzhou, so Ben did not intend to make lots of changes to it and built an extravagant villa. He thought the environment of Conghua Hot Spring Town is magnificent enough to be classified as luxurious, and “environment is luxurious” was the theme of the project. Hence, he made visible efforts to make all residents experience the gorgeous scenery and appreciate all the good things brought by nature. He paid attention to the proportion of the project and tried not to make it off-balance, choosing materials and colors that suggested the beauty of Conghua Hot Spring Town to people.   

Ben mentions that Conghua will be the back yard with greenery of Guangzhou  according to local government's long term plan, so the negative influence of construction on environment is strictly controlled. This matches TSL's design concept, since it does not have too much luxury, but using the natural environment to bring a perfect life to people. Different from spending money on purchasing a great quantity luxuries, Ben thinks a better life should be pure.

TSL pursues the balance of human and nature. Human cannot live without nature which we have to respect of, then get the feedback from it. This balance do not need to build deliberately. When building TSL, Ben had spent much time to experience. The 3D space of each room were all made by the design team, which they had to experience and find out whether it will make any influence, then adjusted to each building. Ben said, the angles of each building were all under deep thought in order to take more natural space, so that each room could have its own environment.
 

Walking through TSL, each building keeps the traditional pitched roof in an appropriate scale, which is one of Ben's design ideas that pursuing the balance of human and nature. Not only this, but also focus on maintaining the scales of Chinese old countries adobe houses, even the clubhouse is designed carefully, so that it shows not a luxurious palace or villa. It brings an intimate and comfortable living experience to people.
 

Besides, it had been used more than three materials and separators to the eight diagonal wall. Actually Ben wants to build the most suitable human-habitation instead of the luxurious building.

As holiday villas, Ben had devoted much on them. It's not piling luxuries, but simple self-sufficiency. People can lying on the balcony, then enjoying the stars and hot spring at the same time, without the sight disturb of neighbors. This private space is easier said than find in downtown. Meanwhile, the clubhouse is a back up of daily life, only one call you could reach meticulous care. Enjoying your own private space as well as no need to worry about the daily living, Ben is such a great designer good at control this with the holiday villas.
 

Though TSL is a settlement of just 82 houses, Ben likes make sure these people feel the homely touch. There is a quiescent private road within TLS, creating an atmosphere of coziness and comfort, so residents would not feel lonely when they came home. It is because Ben invested time in adjusting the angle of the building, at some points of architecture, people living here can sense that someone living next door, which it is quite touched. 

Satisfying clients' needs is always at the top of Ben's list when he is designing a project. TSL features private helipad which is rare in China,  it has very tight security to ensure the owner's safety. Talk about the parking apron, Ben means it is the inspiration from the advantages of surrounding natural environment. With resources that cannot be copied, we should think more than the owners of traffic. The parking apron can not only bring a luxurious living experience, but also provide the safety guarantee to the owners. Nowadays, piloting a private plane is common, if you can join it. "The mountain gives us this advantage, we can use and build a special parking apron." Ben said lightly, showing his meticulous pursuit of life.

As a luxurious mansion designer, Mr. Ben Yeung always has a standard for it. Nowadays, people spend lots money on building a luxurious mansion, and there are luxurious mansions everywhere, the key point lies in how you think of "luxury". To Ben, luxury is a state of mind instead of money, which is only a few people have. There are only 82 buildings within TSL , implying the owner can only has 81 neighbors. Only 81 neighbors appreciate it, but that is enough for Ben. Since it is rare, meeting Ben's standard for luxury. Ben wants to spread this luxury definition to each other through TSL, and hopes it can become a benchmark to tell people what the real luxurious life is.
 

When Ben smiles humbly and says, I do not dare to say it is the best luxurious mansion in my mind, but I try to make it is. I think we need to earn more experience to improve ourselves. I hope to achieve a higher purpose by building The Spring Legend.
