Sales Center and Mockups of Grand Jardin Clinch the 4th GSADA 2014
The 4th Gorgeous Space Asia Design Award 2014 was hosted by Taiwan Gorgeous Space and Shejiben. The most important purpose of in organizing the award was to help people across Taiwan Strait construct their dream home, build a communication platform for designers from both Mainland China and Taiwan and assist junior interior designer in reaching their dreams. Sales Center and Mockups of Grand Jardin in Foshan was named Honorable Mention (Commerce) at the award.
Grand Jardin was completed by ben yeung & associates ltd, an architecture and interior design company in Guangzhou, China. In order to fulfill client's requirement, Ben Yeung, the chief designer and his teammates created traditional and contemporary style for the sales center and sample houses, which measure 1,190 square meters in size.
Inspired by a popular Chinese TV drama, "The Grand Mansion Gate", the designer borrowed the ideas from Lingnan traditional mansion as a source of creative inspiration. Five Elements of Chinese philosophy, namely Metal, Wood, Water, Fire and Wood were adopted in design, instead of overusing bold colors and ornate décor.
The sales center features traditional Chinese landscape garden style, offering you not only a physical experience, but also a spiritual sense. This might be described as “being nature”. Spiritual elements aside, the sales center offers a movement of flow as well. The fountain, the melody-like walls, trees, grasses and birds are all echoes and counter points of rhythm…Anyone who enters the garden is going to sense this life flow, and his/her body and soul are likely float with it immediately.
Styles of the mocks are varied. Featuring traditional Chinese style, the first mockup (Room Type A) is an apartment with two bed rooms. The calligraphy artworks on the walls of living room and bed room add ancient tone to the space. The kitchen adjoins the living room. People can enjoy more family time while they are cooking. The interior paint colors of the house, including buff, gray, brown, etc., were chosen carefully. It helps build a nice and comfortable family environment.
The third mockup (Room Type C) is a three-room apartment. Each part of the house, from the living room, to the dining room and bed room, oozes luxury charm. In the dining room, the colors like buff and red make a wonderful atmosphere, which combines tradition and luxury. The accessories modernize the space, yet do not detract from the classical essence. The vintage and contemporary bedroom decoration plays an active role in adding more elegant sense but stylish feeling to the space.
