China Resources Shimei Bay International Marina Club, Hainan

China Resources Shimei Bay International Marina Club is located in central Shimei Bay of Hainan.  BYAL is the architectural & signage design consultant. China Resources Company aims to create a landmark in this region. The 3400㎡ marina club will be the major attraction of Hainan.

The design inspiration is a pair of orca whales leaping out from the water and charging towards the ocean. It symbolizes the sailing of the yachts. The roof top design is flowing, echoing the silhouette of the waves. It is set in a vertical axis and links the natural landscape with the building. The marina club blends seamlessly into the environment. The elevated open space between the pair of orca whales is the ideal location to enjoy the spectacular view of the natural scenery.

The natural environment serves as the canvas of the beautifully designed buildings. Appreciating the view from a sailing yacht is a memorable experience.

The Spring Legend, Guangzhou

The Spring Legend was awarded for its excellent landscape design. It is located at a mountainous region at Conghua in Guangzhou, next to Liuxi River, Shimen and Tianhu Forest Park. Driving on the two-kilometer-long private road leading to villas area keeps you away from the bustling crowd of the city. Spreading across 57,000, the whole project is themed with leisure vacation, while integrating the hot springs into architecture. The hotel is the result of meticulous research and careful planning- - many field visits were conducted to understand the geographical characteristics of the area and experts were engaged to see how the development can restore the natural environment while establishing an intra-regional self-balancing ecosystem.

The best interpretation of The Spring Legend is "in an elevation of 156 meters, with radon soda springs in your house. It is a true natural miracle!"

Modern and simple, with a Chinese touch, the architectural design is blends in with its surroundings. The effort to recycle solar energy and rain, the large doors and windows are to allow fresh air, great views and optimal daylight to play an important part in the project.

We use raw materials from the region and meticulously researched the environment to restore the natural ecosystem.  The height difference of the area was carefully studied in designing the villas and other constructions. Each villa merges seamlessly into the mountain area and can therefore enjoy the best scenery.  The receding terraces on where the villas are built create a space for natural outdoor hot spring, bringing the natural environment to your everyday life.
