The 9^th Jinwaitan Award Ceremony and international Architecture & Interior Design Festival was successfully held on April 1^st, 2014 at W3 Hall of Shanghai International Exhibition Center. Jinwaitan Award was hosted by China Institute of Interior Design (CIID) and Interior Design China, co-organized by Glenraven ltd., having the reputation of being one of the most prominent design award in China. More than 300 designers took part in the competition this year. Byal’s design for Hainan China Southern Airlines Sanya Headquarters was named Creative Design Award 2014. 

Designers all over the country, distinguished guests and the sponser attended the ceremony.

Locatd at Sanya, Hainan, China Southern Airlines Sanya Headquarters is a large-scale complex building, covering 8,000 square meters. Byal aims to make it the landmark of the Sanya and the symbol of China Southern Airlines. 
 

When it comes to the facade design, our inspiration was aroused from a picture, in which, a Flight A380 plane is undergoing a process of pneumatic test. The vivid curves appear along with the speedy airflow generated by the jet engine during takeoff. In the design concept, we used the curves as the key element. The façades are clad with irregular curves, which can make people get imagination of aerodynamics, and make the building alive and allured. In addition, the building interior was fully furnished with non-structural units, which have good ventilation and sunshade functions, thus a cool and comfortable interior space can be created.
